Why I love being a shitty writer

In my experience …

Shitty writing = Maximum bank.

I am talking about email marketing here, but it can also apply to other forms of writing.

And this is especially important if you’re someone like me who is not a natural writer.

When I say being a shitty writer, I mean:

  • Once you start writing, don’t stop until you’re done.

  • Don’t correct a spelling

  • Don’t rephrase a sentence

  • Don’t backspace even a single letter!

Nothing.

Just keep going forward.

And you’ll produce the most ridiculous piece of content riddled with mistakes and thoughts that don’t flow together.

But that’s nice.

Because you’ve gotten the first piece out.

Which is the hardest part for most people.

And once you’ve got that part out, you can go back and edit it.

I usually write 3 shitty emails every day

And then edit them several days later.

This way you can pound out several emails without caring how good or bad they are.

You’re just getting them out.

Afterwards, you can clean it up.
