How to get more sales without getting better at marketing

If you’re not really into marketing …

 

And don’t want to dedicate the time to learning the skill,

A few days ago, I was talking with my parent and mid-way into the conversation, I blurted out:

 

“You can’t change someone who is not ready to change”.

 

And the more I think of it, the more true it is.

 

When it comes to human behaviour, you can’t force someone to change their behaviour.

 

So you can’t make an alcoholic stop drinking alcohol …

 

You can’t stop an abuser from being abusive …

 

And likewise, you can’t make a non-buyer into a buyer.

 

However, you can replace the “non-buyers” with buyers.

 

Here’s what I mean:

 

Even if you have the best tacos in town but you are trying to sell to a group that just ate a 3 course meal and can barely stand up from their chairs …

 

You are not going to make very many sales.

 

Even if you give your tacos away for free.

 

On the contrary, if you have a very “mid-level” taco, but you are selling to a group of ravished, hungry taco lovers, your sales will skyrocket.

 

My point?

 

The fastest way to make more sales is to ensure you are selling to people who REALLY want to solve their problems.

 

Simply doing this will help you make more sales without even becoming better at marketing.

 

But the question now is how do you find “buyers” (i.e. the people who are willing and happy to spend money with you?)
