Well, here’s what: Conflict sells.
Humans love conflict.
We might not like to be in the middle of one, but we love to hear stories about people fighting, arguing or attacking each other.
It gets attention, engagement and as a result, sales.
And this is how you can use it in your marketing:
Simply pick a group of people, an ideology or a piece of advice you think is harmful or maybe just bullsheet.
Then pick a fight with it.
Simply outline the idea or piece of advice you think is terrible and tear it down.
Mock it if you will.
Let people know why you think it is bad or what the better alternative is.
That way you’re creating conflict, being helpful (i.e. preventing your people from taking bad advice) and also making sales at the same time.
If your marketing sucks, it’s probably because you’re not using enough conflict.
