A few years ago, I lost my grandfather.

 

He was diabetic and had his leg amputated before he died.

 

This situation caused a lot of distress for us as a family.

 

A couple of years later, I had an uncle go through a similar situation (diabetes and then amputation).

Stories like this are more common than most people realize.

They might get people commending them or telling them how much they love their content, but usually, they don’t get very many sales. 

In my experience, there are 2 big problems in situations like this… 

Problem 1: Your content doesn't convert.

Problem 2: You are NOT using the “holistic marketing” methodology.

Most health/wellness entrepreneurs I have seen are trying to sell in a way that is not natural to them. 

 

They do many things because they feel like they “should” be doing it, but not necessarily because they enjoy it or it is in line with their natural abilities and tendencies.

 

For example, many business owners I know don’t really like posting on social media., but…

They just do it because they feel they “have to”

 Even though that is NOT true. 

 

There are several other ways to market which are as effective (and I will argue that they are even more effective) as social media. 

 

To prove my point, here is a comment I once saw from a wellness business owner:

“I’m a weirdo…if it was up to me I’d literally not be on IG or Facebook or only check in on what my friends are doing once a week and for biz training.

Her business was doing well, but she was slaving away on social media and hated it. 

 

This is how most people operate their business. 

 

Compare that to what I recommend:

Holistic marketing

“Holistic marketing” is a term I coined as I couldn’t think of a better way to describe how I advice people to market their business. 

 

Just like you would advice someone to eat the foods they enjoy but “tweak it” to help them hit their goals (whether it is to balance hormones or lose weight, etc) … 

 

You should also market in a way you enjoy, but tweak it to hit your goals! 

 

Like I once heard:

“Marketing is like sex. If you’re not enjoying it, you’re probably not doing it right”

My point? 

 

If you’re not making as many sales as you would like … or if you have hit a revenue ceiling in your business, then one of the problems might be that you are not utilizing “holistic marketing”

 

i.e. marketing in a way you enjoy – which means you are more likely to be consistent with it and hence make more sales from it.
