Before you behead me, hear me out.
I didn’t say content is not important.
I said it is overrated
And to illustrate that, I’m going to tell you a story:
“Cards Against Humanity” is a company that creates card games.
And on Black Friday in 2014, they removed all their card games from their site and sold only one thing:
“Bullshit”.
I mean, literal cow dung.
And guess what?
They sold 30,000 boxes in less than 2 hours!
30,000 people whipped out their credit cards and happily paid for boxes of cow dung!
So let me ask you:
What “content” did they give out?
What “value” did they sell?
None.
Nada.
Nothing.
Which begs the question:
Why do healthprenuers struggle to sell legitimate life-changing offers,
when another company can sell 30,000 boxes of bullshit?
The answer?
Image.
Brand.
Perception.
Entertainment.
And a host of other factors that are more important than “content” or “value” in today’s market.
It’s too much to get into in a single post …
